On Thanksgiving Day, 58-year-old Jeffrey Jaworski was shot by a Deptford police sergeant after he fled through a second-floor window of a motel in New Jersey, claiming to have a gun. Jaworski was pursued into a wooded area where he was shot, and later apprehended after jumping a fence and running into traffic. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and possession of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing.
