Study in American Journal of Psychiatry reveals high amphetamine doses for ADHD increase psychosis/mania risk by over five times.

Analyzing patient records from 2005 to 2019, researchers found that recent amphetamine users had a 63% increased risk, with heavy doses raising that risk to 81%. The findings underscore the importance of dosage considerations when prescribing these medications.
