Sakander Hussain, 25, was convicted of murdering 65-year-old Wallis Webb, a care home chef, in Birmingham. The jury found him guilty by a 10-2 verdict after a four-week trial, during which it was revealed Hussain stabbed Webb and later used his bank cards for personal spending. Hussain initially denied murder but pleaded guilty to fraud. He is set to be sentenced to life imprisonment, with the judge determining the length of his sentence at a later date.
