17-year-old Justice Williamson-Atkinson was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 11 years for murdering camper Adrian Humphreys at a remote campground in Tangarākau, New Zealand. At the time of the murder, Williamson-Atkinson was participating in a program for at-risk youth. Despite his cognitive impairments, a life sentence was imposed due to the heightened risk of public safety.
