China plans to integrate traditional Chinese medicine into its healthcare system and promote it internationally.

China's National Health Commission plans to enhance traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) within its Healthy China Initiative, aiming to integrate TCM with Western medicine for comprehensive health care. With 41,700 TCM clinics and over 1.54 billion visits in 2023, TCM is also being promoted internationally, reaching 196 countries. Reforms will focus on service models, talent development, and cultural preservation to further TCM's role in public health and heritage.
