Issei Nakanishi, 21, was sentenced to 23 years in prison by Tokyo District Court for his role in a robbery and murder case involving a 90-year-old woman in Komae, Japan, in January 2023. Nakanishi, along with 22-year-old Rikuto Nagata and others, participated in the fatal assault and theft of items valued at around 590,000 yen. Three other suspects, including alleged ringleader Yuki Watanabe, face similar charges. Prosecutors had sought a 25-year sentence.
