Mother's Universal Credit halted due to job center error, DWP backdates missed payments.
Tanya Williams, a mother from Wirral, England, experienced financial strain after her Universal Credit was halted due to a wrongly scheduled appointment at a permanently closed job center. As a full-time carer for her autistic daughter Aicha and her other child, she lived on just £100 weekly. Following the error, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has since backdated her missed payments in full.
