Tamusi Angiyou, a 51-year-old inmate serving an indeterminate sentence for serious crimes including second-degree murder, escaped from the Laval Federal Training Centre in Quebec on August 30, 2024. Following his absence during a 10:45 p.m. headcount, Correctional Services Canada issued a warrant for his arrest and sought public assistance. Angiyou returned voluntarily to the facility the next morning and is now back in custody. An investigation into the escape is underway.
