An inmate at Kent Institution was assaulted by multiple inmates on July 15th; Agassiz RCMP and CSC are investigating.
An inmate at Kent Institution, a maximum-security facility in Agassiz, was assaulted by multiple inmates on July 15th. The victim was evaluated by staff and transferred to an outside hospital for treatment. The Agassiz RCMP and Correctional Service Canada (CSC) are currently investigating the incident, and the assailants have been identified. The CSC has taken appropriate action against the attackers.
