WHO reports a significant decline in condom use among European teenagers over the last decade.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports a significant decline in condom use among sexually active teenagers in Europe over the last decade. Condom usage among boys fell from 70% in 2014 to 61% in 2022, while girls' usage dropped from 63% to 57%. WHO Europe Director Hans Kluge urges governments, health authorities, the education sector, and other essential stakeholders to recognize the root causes of the situation and take steps to rectify it through comprehensive sexuality education, improved access to sexual health services, and better training for educators.
