1st woman, Victoria Siddall, appointed as director of London's National Portrait Gallery.

Victoria Siddall, an experienced art industry professional, becomes the first woman to hold the director role at London's National Portrait Gallery (NPG) in its 168-year history. Her background includes founding Frieze Masters and leading sustainability initiatives such as Gallery Climate Coalition and Murmur. She takes on the role amidst challenges in the UK's cultural sector and will oversee the gallery post-£35m renovation.
