The British Museum has appointed Nicholas Cullinan, former head of the National Portrait Gallery, as its new director amidst a scandal over missing artifacts. The 265-year-old institution has faced controversy after it was revealed that over 1,800 items went missing, with some even found to have been listed for sale online.
