Thailand's Board of Investment approves $693 million investment by Western Digital for expanding its hard disk production, which will add $7.69 billion in annual exports and create 10,000 jobs. The country has approved $8.26 billion in hard disk investments over the past decade. Western Digital's Thai facility currently employs 28,000 people, and Thailand produces 80% of the world's hard disks.
