64-year-old Mohammed Akram, a convicted serial rapist with a history of serious crimes, was sentenced to an indeterminate prison term for continuing to attack women despite a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) being lifted in 2017. Akram, who has been in and out of prison since 1979, will serve at least five years under an Order for Lifelong Restriction (OLR) before being considered for parole.
