51-year-old Muhammad Talukdar, a prolific paedophile, has been jailed for 14 years after sexually abusing a girl in Tower Hamlets, East London, since 1998 when she was eight. The Metropolitan Police managed to build a case despite the lack of DNA evidence, through extensive interviews with friends and family, and medical records. Talukdar was found guilty of three counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
