Russia bans George Clooney's nonprofit, The Clooney Foundation for Justice, for investigating war crimes in Ukraine.

Russia has declared George Clooney's nonprofit foundation, The Clooney Foundation for Justice, "undesirable" and banned it from operating within the country. The foundation, founded in 2016, has been actively investigating war crimes in Ukraine, monitoring sham trials, and fighting against global authoritarianism. Russia's "undesirables" law allows the country to ban foreign or international organizations deemed a threat to national security, with Russian citizens facing up to five years in prison for cooperating with these groups. The Clooney Foundation for Justice joins over 140 organizations deemed "undesirable" in Russia.
