Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan closes due to restrictive law on internationally funded local organizations.
The Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan is closing due to a new law imposing restrictive, broad, and ill-defined regulations on internationally funded local organizations. Established in 1993, the foundation provided over $115M for projects in education, healthcare, digital tech, & criminal justice reform.
