Large, non-native boa constrictor found in Lackawanna house, relocated by DEC and a reptile rescue group.

A large boa constrictor was found in a vacant house in Lackawanna, NY, leading to a call to the Lackawanna Police Department. The snake, not native to NYS and classified as dangerous, was taken into possession by the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation and moved to an animal hospital. A reptile rescue group will relocate the boa constrictor to a new home.
