During his tenure, Indonesia controlled inflation, reduced unemployment and extreme poverty, and built new infrastructure. The country's economy has grown, making it Southeast Asia's largest economy and possessing the world's largest nickel reserves. Infrastructure development included the construction of roads, bridges, and ports, leading to job creation and increased nickel production. The government is also undertaking a $33 billion megaproject to move the capital from Jakarta to Nusantara on Borneo.
