The Malaysian federal government, led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, is set to prioritize road development in Kapit Division, specifically a 72-kilometer road linking Nanga Semaram to Kapit. Construction is expected to begin next year, with funding for the initial phase underway. The Sarawak government is also investing heavily in infrastructure, including a RM2 billion road project and a RM6 billion road connecting Limbang to Brunei, to enhance rural connectivity and support economic growth.
