33-year-old State Attorney Sam Tusubira charged with corruption, remanded for 16 bribery charges in a land dispute case.
33-year-old State Attorney Sam Tusubira, working for Uganda's Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, was charged with corruption, remanded to Luzira Prison, and faces 16 charges for allegedly soliciting a Shs100 million ($26,200) bribe from a litigant, Ronald Yawe, in a land dispute case. Tusubira has denied the charges and his bail application will be heard on August 19.
