Former Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku and ex-Permanent Secretary Bello Yero charged in Abuja for N27b fraud by EFCC.

Former Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku and ex-Permanent Secretary Bello Yero have been arraigned in Abuja on charges of misappropriating N27 billion in state funds. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accuses them of 15 counts, including conspiracy and criminal breach of trust. Both have pleaded not guilty and are currently in EFCC custody. A bail hearing is scheduled for October 3, 2024.
