73-year-old Warren Luther Alexander, a suspect in a series of 1977 murders in Southern California, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. The victims were Kimberly Carol Fritz, 18, Velvet Ann Sanchez, 31, and Lorraine Ann Rodriguez, 21, who all were strangled. Alexander was previously held in North Carolina in connection with a 1992 cold case killing. DNA evidence led to his identification and extradition to California, where he now faces additional special allegations of multiple murders.
