36-year-old Shreveport man, Grandville Dewayne Williams Jr., pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder for stabbing a woman 17 times at her workplace, Jolie Apartments, in 2020. He faced a maximum of 50 years' hard labor and was sentenced to 40 years by District Judge Ramona Emanuel. The woman's quick recovery was attributed to the prompt assistance of a friend, local police, and medical personnel.
