Indonesia plans a $682m underwater tunnel with S. Korea in Nusantara, preserving forest and wildlife.

Indonesia plans to collaborate with South Korea on an immersed tunnel in its new capital city, Nusantara. Estimated at $682 million, the tunnel, part of the city's highway system, will enable users to cross Balikpapan Bay and reach the government buildings area. The underwater tunnel choice aims to preserve the forest and protect local flora and fauna habitats, thus avoiding impact on the environment.
