Borneo States Symposium II proposes a 35% parliamentary seat share for Sabah and Sarawak based on MA63.

The Borneo States Symposium II has called for Sabah and Sarawak to receive a 35% share of parliamentary seats, in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). Advised by Prof Dr James Chin, the resolution aims to change the federal-state relationship, ensuring Putrajaya cannot constitutionally ignore Sabah and Sarawak. Chin suggests that the 35% share should be written into the Constitution to ensure future governments honor this agreement.
