Bayer's Monsanto has agreed to pay $160 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the city of Seattle, alleging PCB pollution of the city's drainage system and the Lower Duwamish River. The settlement is the largest for a single city over PCB pollution. Monsanto will pay $35 million for PCB remediation and $125 million to address other Seattle claims, without admitting liability or wrongdoing.
