Eddy Elston Leake, in Woodlands County, was fined $6,000 for driving without insurance in October 2022. It's his second conviction, and he has until February 14, 2025, to pay, or he risks 60 days in jail. Two others were fined $495 each for speeding 50 km/h over the limit. One claimed ignorance of the school zone's reinstatement. Justice Gregory Arnold Rice commended her for taking responsibility.
