A coalition of Granville Island leaders, mental health experts and others have urged Vancouver city council to fast-track the installation of suicide prevention fencing on the Granville Bridge. The coalition supports a motion by OneCity Coun. Christine Boyle to add fencing to prevent further suicides and attempts from the bridge. They argue that the fencing is critical for maintaining safety around the bridge.
