Maria Walsh, a Fine Gael MEP from Ireland, has been appointed to the European Parliament's Agriculture Committee for the 2024-2029 term and will lead on agriculture policy for Fine Gael in Europe. Walsh will also serve as a full member of the Regional Development (REGI) committee and a substitute member of the Justice & Home Affairs (LIBE) committee. Her priorities for the upcoming term include increasing funding for farm families, supporting agri-tech and agri-tourism businesses, and helping female and young farmers.
