Irish leader calls for better political support for farmers to meet environmental goals.

Irish Taoiseach Simon Harris has called for a better relationship between politicians and farmers, emphasizing that farming is not a hobby and needs support to meet environmental goals. Harris stated that politicians often talk about farming differently than other parts of the economy. At a farmers' association meeting, both Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin and Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald addressed the importance of farming, with Martin pledging over €280 million annually for agriculture. The debate on key farming issues will be live-streamed on November 14.
