Winnipeg initiates mosquito fogging program starting Sunday night due to a surge in mosquito trap counts, with a minimum of 25 female mosquitoes caught for two consecutive nights. The city plans to fog ten insect management areas using DeltaGard 20EW. Crews check traps daily, and if weather permits, the entire city can be fogged within five days, using about a fifth of the remaining DeltaGard supply.
