Heathrow Airport hit a record 268,000 passengers on June 30, marking the fifth consecutive day over 260,000 passengers in June. Total passengers for the month increased by 5.6% to 7.4 million compared to 2021. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has reduced Heathrow's fees for airlines until 2026, decreasing the cap from £25.25 to £23.73 in 2022 and £23.71 in 2026, in response to a recommendation from the Competition and Markets Authority.
