Governor Gavin Newsom rescinds offer of state attorneys to assist Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price in prosecuting crimes, citing lack of cooperation from Price's office. The governor's initial offer was made in February to help tackle violent and drug-related crime. Newsom's cabinet secretary Ann Patterson wrote in a letter to Price's office: "Despite our outreach, your office has yet to make use of these resources."
