California Governor Gavin Newsom has announced military prosecutors will work with the California Department of Justice on East Bay cases, after a failed partnership with Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. This decision follows a public disagreement between the two Democrats. Attorneys from the CalGuard’s Counterdrug Task Force will now collaborate with Attorney General Rob Bonta's office on state cases originating in Alameda County, bypassing Price's office.
