80+ Fairfield residents attended a city council meeting to oppose a proposed fourth Wawa convenience store and gas station in the area, amidst concerns about flooding, traffic, crime, and light pollution. The 4.6-acre lot on Pleasant Avenue and John Gray Road is currently zoned as part of a neighborhood business district that does not allow gas stations. Wawa, a Pennsylvania-based chain, announced an expansion in Ohio last year with plans for over a dozen stores.
