Wisconsin's Department of Instruction releases updated income eligibility guidelines for school and day care meals, following federal poverty levels. Students from households earning $40,560 or less per year qualify for free meals, while those with an annual income between $40,560.01 and $57,720 are eligible for reduced-price meals. These guidelines apply to school lunch, breakfast, after-school care snacks, and special milk programs, and only one application per household is required.
