University of Wisconsin System revives Wisconsin Tuition Promise, offering free tuition to in-state students from families earning $55,000 or less annually, starting fall 2025.

The University of Wisconsin System is reviving its Wisconsin Tuition Promise program, offering free tuition for in-state students from families earning $55,000 or less annually. The initiative, which starts in fall 2025, is funded by a $5 million grant from Ascendium Education Group, matched by the UW System, and supported by the 11 participating universities. The program covers tuition and fees after federal, state, and private financial aid is exhausted, and benefits around 1,300 students.
