Former Columbus Zoo purchasing agent, Tracy Murnane, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including grand theft, complicity in the commission of theft, forgery, telecommunications fraud, and filing incomplete, false, and fraudulent tax returns. The investigation revealed that Columbus Zoo executives misused zoo funds for personal vacations, vehicles, concerts, and sporting events between 2011 and 2021. Murnane faces up to 8.5 years in prison and is set for sentencing on September 23.
