Swedish human rights activist Anna Ardin, one of two women who accused WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange of sexual assault 14 years ago, says she is "happy" that he is free. Assange spent seven years in a London embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden, and later fought for five years in a British prison against extradition to the US for prosecution over leaks of confidential information. Swedish authorities ended their investigation into Assange in 2019 and dropped their extradition bid.
