WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange landed in Bangkok on a chartered flight, refuelling en route to a US court in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, where he is expected to enter a plea deal with the US government. The deal will result in Assange's release from prison and his return to Australia. Assange is expected to plead guilty to a single Espionage Act charge related to conspiring to unlawfully obtain and disseminate classified national defence information.
