BASF and ENGIE signed a 7-year Biomethane Purchase Agreement (BPA) for biomethane supply, reducing BASF's carbon footprint. ENGIE will provide 2.7-3.0 TWh of biomethane, a renewable gas from organic waste, for BASF's German and Belgian sites. This supports BASF's sustainable transformation and enables low- or zero-PCF products for automotive, packaging, and detergent industries. The deal strengthens BASF and ENGIE's partnership in transitioning towards a circular economy.
