Hapag-Lloyd received its largest ship-to-ship (STS) liquefied biomethane (LBM) delivery in Rotterdam, marking its first use of LBM as a marine fuel. The 2,200 metric tonnes of LBM were delivered by Titan Clean Fuels and STX Group, highlighting the possibility and scalability of large-scale liquefied Biomethane bunkering. Hapag-Lloyd aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2045 through various measures, including LBM bunkering.
