Sydney couple buys Umbria apartment for €32,000 ($51,000) as a "lock and leave" holiday home.
Sydney couple, Jaclyn Lofts and Joshua Beagley, bought a 2-bedroom apartment in Italy's Umbria region for €32,000 ($51,000) as they couldn't afford a home in Sydney. Located in medieval village Amelia, the property was a former holiday home for noble families. The couple plans to use their Australian passports for 90-day trips to Europe twice a year, using the property as a "lock and leave" holiday home.
