Hyundai Motor and its labor union agreed to hire 1,100 new workers by 2026 in the 10th round of negotiations, aimed at addressing wage and working conditions at the company's Ulsan plant in South Korea. The union demanded an increase in hiring due to 2,000 annual retirements and the upcoming launch of a new electric car factory in 2025. The union has not carried out a strike in the past five years.
