Home-cooked Fourth of July barbecues will cost 3x less than dining out this year, according to Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute. A home-cooked, quarter-pound hamburger with cheese, tomato, and lettuce will run $2.16, compared to an average $6.95 at a restaurant.
