"Move to -15°C Coalition" expands, adding Nomad Foods, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in frozen food storage.

The "Move to -15°C Coalition," a cold storage supply chain group, has doubled its member count since its launch at COP28, with new additions including Nomad Foods. The coalition aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by storing frozen food at a slightly warmer temperature (-15°C) than current standards (-18°C). Nomad Foods' ongoing study shows a 10-11% reduction in freezer energy consumption without impacting product safety, texture, taste, or nutritional value.
