Höegh Autoliners partners with Hanwha and Accelleron for an EPLO project on Höegh Detroit, improving CII rating and reducing fuel consumption by 10g/kWh.
Höegh Autoliners, a car carrier company, partnered with Hanwha and Accelleron to implement an engine part load optimization (EPLO) project on its vessel, Höegh Detroit, improving its Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) rating, and reducing fuel consumption by 10g/kWh, equivalent to a 5% reduction in total fuel consumption. The project led to lower operating costs, reduced CO2 emissions, and CII compliance. Höegh Autoliners plans to implement similar EPLO projects on seven more vessels.
