Nevada judge to decide on $750,000 bail for ex-gang leader Duane "Keffe D" Davis, charged with 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.
A Nevada judge is set to decide whether ex-gang leader Duane "Keffe D" Davis, charged with the 1996 murder of hip-hop music legend Tupac Shakur, can be freed on $750,000 bail, allowing him house arrest ahead of his trial. Davis, 61, has sought release since his arrest in September, becoming the only person ever charged with a crime in the high-profile case. Prosecutors allege that the gunfire that killed Shakur stemmed from competition between East Coast Bloods gang members and West Coast Crips groups, including Davis, for dominance in "gangsta rap."
