CIP and BWSC sell UK biomass plant, Kent Renewable Energy Plant, to Greenvolt by October 2024, marking CIP's fourth UK biomass exit since 2019.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor (BWSC) agreed to divest the UK biomass heat and power plant, Kent Renewable Energy Plant, to Portugal-based renewables firm, Greenvolt - Energias Renováveis, by October 2024. This marks CIP's fourth UK biomass exit since 2019, with a combined 150MW capacity, serving 350,000 households and offsetting 800,000 tonnes of CO2 yearly.
